The men around the elder table have varying degrees of experience, training, and wisdom. Inevitably, they’ll come up against something for which they’re radically unprepared. Shepherding a church isn’t plug-and-play. Godly elders are brothers desperately trying to love and serve God while loving, leading, and serving their local church—but it’s a challenge to know how to do that in any given situation.
