Seeking the Wisdom of God

“But do people know where to find wisdom? Where can they find understanding?”

God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knows where it can be found,

“And this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.'”

Job 28:20, 23, 28 (NLT)

Deep reverence is true wisdom. Forsaking evil is real understanding. As bottom lines go, these parallel thoughts are truer than true.

Today, wise men and women will prove these truths in prudent living.

Today, those who esteem themselves smarter than God will seek exceptions to these rules. Hopefully, they will discover as soon as possible how delusional it is to continue trying to prove God wrong.

Reverent awe shifts our perspectives. Instead of looking within or looking around for the ever-elusive who knows what, we look instead at what God has done and what God has said.
