Recognize Your Weaknesses

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:6, 7).

When does life get out of hand? When we crawl out from under God’s mighty hand.

When are we most anxious? When we face life’s fierce reality on our own.

There is a better way.

Humble yourself and pray.

Some people live with such confidence in themselves that invincibility becomes second nature. Those of us with chronic back pain would like to have a few words with these bulletproof souls. Every Superman and Superwoman has a problem with kryptonite.

What’s your kryptonite? You will discover it sooner than you think if you have not discovered it yet.

Everyone has a problem. Every person has a weakness. Blessed are those who have figured out this reality.
